2. Utilize high intensity interval training to boost metabolism
If you want to see the results, you’ve got to put in the work. While regular aerobic exercise is still good for you, if you really want to improve your metabolism try high intensity interval training. Whether it’s by signing up for a HIIT class or just changing the way you do your usual aerobic exercise, interval training is a fat-burning work out. This is the sort of workout you may hate while you’re in it, but your body, and your metabolism, will thank you for later.[3]
What to do: Add 30 seconds intervals of high speed to your usual running or biking routine followed by a period of rest. If you do this six to ten times during your workout, you can increase the intensity and time, as you get better.
