7 – Pineapple is a source of nutrients which can help with depression
Pineapple is high in niacin (vitamin B3) and also the amino acid tryptophan, which the body uses to help produce the neurotransmitter serotonin.[6] There is scientific evidence that an imbalance in levels of serotonin could contribute to depression.[7]
Although not proven scientifically, niacin has been used for treating depression.
