6 – Radishes for blood pressure
Radishes are high in potassium, which can help to reduce blood pressure. The magnesium in radishes also helps to regulate blood pressure. Besides the potassium and magnesium in radishes, they also contain nitric oxide (NO), a compound known to help with blood pressure reduction by regulating blood vessel function. Blood vessels relax when NO is released into the bloodstream, and blood pressure is then reduced.
