4. Exercise to boost the immune system to help boost your immune system
You don’t need to be an Olympic athlete to benefit from exercise. However, if you’re the sort of person that doesn’t leave the house much, a daily walk of about 30 minutes or a Pilates class a few times a week can not only keep you fit, but also help to boost your immune system.[4] It has been believed up until recently that intense exercise weakens the immune system, but researchers have now concluded that strenuous exercise actually benefits immune health.
What it does: Exercise promotes circulation which allows white blood cells, antibodies, and other substances the immune system uses to function more quickly and effectively. Exercise can also get rid of bacteria from your lungs because of the increased oxygenation that can prevent airborne illnesses.
