9. Being grateful is a proven way to improve emotional resilience
Being grateful for all that you have even when times are bad fosters resilience. Gratitude also helps to reduce stress and helps us recover from traumatic events. A study found that gratitude was a contributing factor to resilience after the September 11 terrorist attacks.
What to do: Gratitude is a choice and can be cultivated. Instead of complaining about something, take a few moments to think about what you have to be thankful for.
