6. Being open to change is a proven way to improve emotional resilience
Adapting to new life situations is a skill that resilient people are familiar with. Being flexible and accepting change as a challenge will help you find creative solutions to problems and become more resilient. Train yourself to see changes as opportunities instead of as threats. Making small changes in your life and trying new things will prepare you for when you are confronted with a major life change.[7]
What to do: Step out of your comfort zone! Listen to a different genre of music, start a new hobby, take up piano lessons, order a different meal at your favorite restaurant.
